German songwriter/producer Oliver Bach has recently made a comeback with a new single release, Break From Myself.

The radio edit version came out last month on May 13th, 2022 capturing the feeling of loneliness at home, especially during the Covid-19 lockdown.

You can enjoy Break From Myself here:

Growing up in Zweibrucken, Germany, Oliver’s earliest musical motivation came from the 80s chart hits and his father’s preferred soul, funk and blues.

Until his father bought an Atari ST and Notator software, he was less than excited about learning a musical instrument. He’d been waiting for a musical spark, and the combination of computer and synthesizer provided it.

At the time, Germany’s electronic music industry was picking up with techno and house music at the centre stage. This gave Oliver more opportunities to DJ at house parties, playing techno and house and pushing his interest in electronic music.

Soon after, Oliver would be experienced enough to write and release his own original songs in 2016 with his songs getting charted in several countries including the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.

For quite some time, Oliver has drawn his stimulation from his influences including Michael Jackson, particularly the albums produced by Quincy Jones, as well as, more recently, ARTBAT, CamelPhat, Adriatique and Innellea.

Oliver Bash is currently signed to the German electronic label NoSodaPlease.

You’ve probably experienced Oliver’s work by now. If not you should totally check out his Break From Myself YouTube music video or look him up on Spotify. There’s a long way ahead so we can only hope for more great hits in the future.
