ImTrying Explore Self-Hate In Latest Single, ‘I DON’T LIKE MYSELF’

18-year-old variety artist from San Antonio, Texas, Christian aka ImTrying officially released a new track, I DONT LIKE MYSELF on April 9th, 2022.

Explaining the drive and meaning behind I DONT LIKE MYSELF, ImTrying says the track is about hating looking in the mirror and trying to find a way to get rid of that feeling through music.

“It’s about getting over the pressures that people put on you and the image you have for yourself,” he added.

ImTrying started playing bass for a country band and later joined a metal band.

“When covid-19 hit and live gigs shut down, I decided to learn more about production. I used my school Chromebook to produce my entire first album Loops and Love Songs. Eventually, I met people that could produce and mix better than me and started making better quality music with them!” ImTrying said.

“I DONT LIKE MYSELF is a perfect example of how far I have come since Loops and Love Songs.”

“As an artist, I want to push the message of trying your best no matter what. My name expresses that and shares my personal motto ‘ImTrying to do better every single day’.” ImTrying concluded.

Waking up in the morning and living through the day encompasses a lot of self-understanding and accommodation. Finding that one thing that helps us cope is a dream come true.
