Peter Blaine’s Single ‘Overthinking’ Uncovers Raw Emotions Of Anxiety

Peter Blaine’s single, ‘Overthinking’ was officially released last year on December 3rd, 2021

Brought out with a subtle blend of vocals, unique melodies and beats, the track vividly depicts raw emotions of anxiety and uncertainty that plays in everyday life.

Peter Blaine is an 18-year-old aspiring singer/songwriter from small-town Michigan.

He explains the influence of music in his life and how much it has helped him go through tough times.

“I have always turned to music to calm me down when I have bad anxiety or if I’m just in need of some music. My whole life, I’ve been singing.

At daycare, my teachers would tell my parents how beautiful my voice was, much to their surprise as no one in my family could sing,”

Faced with an awful stage fright, Peter had difficulty performing in front of crowds. Thanks to his friends, he overcame this obstacle.

“Up until I was 13, I had terrible stage fright. I had never earnestly sung in front of people, and the idea of doing so and being judged for it gave me horrible anxiety. If it wasn’t for one of my friends at the time -who convinced me to try out for the musical- I don’t think I would have ever gotten over it and found my love for singing and performing for others without her,”

“Music is such a special thing in our world. It has the potential to bring people from so many backgrounds and lifestyles together and has proven to do so from time and time,” Peter said expressing his gratitude.

“I hope that one day I can bring people together through my music and make every individual who listens feel seen and heard,”

“Music has always been a massive part of my life, and I knew that one day I would want to release music for the world to hear. My song ‘Overthinking’ came out of a sleepless night. I had a studio session the next day to start recording my first single, and nothing I had written I felt was good enough to produce.

I wrote it at about 01:00 in the morning, and I can honestly say I’m so proud of how it turned out and how well it was received.”

Since its release, ‘Overthinking’ has attracted over 88,000 streams on Spotify. Peter expresses his appreciation to everyone at River City Studios for their help and support in making the project a success. “I can’t wait to make more music for everyone to hear!” he concluded.
