Emotion Music’s single ‘Home’ was officially released at the end last year on December 14th 2021.

The track expresses a desperate strange attraction in a subtle and nostagic way.

‘Accompanied with delicate vocals and melodies, ‘Home’ brings out a feeling of familiarity and fondness you get when you meet your soulmate for the first time.

‘Home’ was made made possibe by a trio, Jane Marie (Emotion Music) who wrote the music and lyrics, teaming up with Jess Bartlett (vocalist) and Tim Walker (sound engineer).

Jane is a composer and songwriter who ventured into songwriting at a young age, releasing ‘Home’ as her first song.

She received a BMUS from the University of Surrey. Later, she became a Fellow of the London College of Music after studying for a postgraduate diploma in Film and Television Music.

A successful career developed with credits for the BBC and Channel 4, as well as the stage musical, ‘A Tale of Two Cities‘ commissioned by Stair8 Productions.

Jane writes in a wide repertoire of styles, from orchestral to reggae but her main strengths lie in melody and romantic drama.

Jane scored the film “Othello” produced by GoBig! Productions which Kenneth Branagh awarded ‘Best Film inspired by Shakespeare’ at the Shakespeare Film Festival.

“Lockdown brought about the opportunity to turn my hand to some songwriting. I currently have
11 songs in postproduction with more being created every day!” Jane said.

“Tim Walker is a long-standing music producer with whom I have worked with for many years. I met Jess after the first lockdown, (an A-Level student at the time), and was blown away by her voice.

She has been on board ever since helping us to create this album and co-writing some of the songs as well.” Jane explained. Jess Bartlett is 17 years old.

If you ask me, there’s a heavy theatre influence in Jane Marie’s music. The emotions are drawn in a rather dramatic way in that you can’t help yourself but swim in them.
