My aim for this project was to create an album that was cohesive both in subject matter and sound.
Mental health is complicated; I wanted to create this music to show people with mental illness that they are not alone.

Robin Cisek’s Music Video “Memories” from her ‘Delicate Minds’ album has been scheduled for an official release this Friday (21.1.2022).
Robin’s music video for her song, “Memories” takes inspiration from sci-fi media and futuristic tech-wear styles to illustrate the individualized and very personal struggle that people have with their mental health.
Robin Cisek takes on the role of 3 characters that represent different emotional aspects of herself. Her aim is to find a purpose or final destination for upsetting memories.

Robin Cisek is a singer and songwriter who creates melodic and moody, electro-pop with introspective and vulnerable lyrics. Her immersion into music came after years of struggles with health problems.
Robin’s inspiration comes from her experiences and her Indigenous heritage. This takes form in her music through concepts, alternative beats and lyrics.
Robin released her first commercial song at the end of 2017 and then another in early 2018 under the guidance of grammy-winning mixers and producers in New York City. Since her first song release, she has been on the Indigenous Music Countdown, a total of four times.
Robin’s 2nd single, “Waiting on You” claimed the top spot on the IMC (May 2019)and remained on top 40 tracks for 24 consecutive weeks. She has also charted on an online radio station called XRP radio a total of 3 times.
With her Freshman album, ‘Delicate Minds’ (June 2021), Robin Cisek created a cohesive project consisting of 6 songs that discuss the deep meanings and emotional aspects of mental health.
Her album is an ode to those dealing with mental illness and a celebration of their strength and resiliency.
In October 2021, Robin was announced the winner of the Ctribe Music Verse competition. Later in September 2021, she was chosen as an AFA featured artist.
This year (2022), she was also awarded her first 2 grants, from the AFA and Alberta Music.
Robin’s most recent success is being chosen as 1 of 7 Indigenous artists in all of Canada to participate in the Indigenous Music Accelerator 2021 run by RBCXmusic, APTN and Canada’s Music Incubator.
Mental health is a critical area that is often overlooked by most people. With Robin’s music, those suffering in silence can get a chance to get back up again and live better lives. We can’t wait to see what the official video release has in store for us.
