‘Warts ‘n’ All – A Performance’ is the result of Hawken’s instantaneous composition. The piece is pure and untainted, subtle and calming with a tint of mystery to it.

James Hawken was born and raised in the clay villages of Cornwall. He first sat on a stool at a piano at 7, marking the beginning of his classical music training.

Around the age of 12 or 13, Hawken started teaching himself to play the modern rock-pop piano; at 14, he achieved an intermediate mastery.

James Hawken’s main live project has been a duo called ‘The James Brothers’. This is where he creates backing tracks of popular rock-pop releases and performs with a male vocalist.

Hawken and his team have been playing pieces in the pubs and clubs for a long time. This has entailed incorporating venues across South West Britain, Ireland and France.

As things are, Hawken’s currently concentrating on creating and releasing piano-based music to chill, soothe and relax.

This has been his lifetime ambition. The evolving technology and the favourable conditions have enabled him to achieve this.

Classical pieces always have a mystery to them. I’ve always found it this way. It’s up to you to interpret the tones and unravel the hidden emotions. Looking at it, there’s nothing more interesting than solving a mystery. We look forward to the official release.
