Brian Field’s Classical Album ‘Brian Field: Vocal Works’ Re-discovered
Brian Field’s album ‘Brian Field: Vocal Works’ was officially released on August 13th last year (2021).
Brian Field’s music is an eclectic fusion of lyricism and driving rhythm that brings together elements of post-romanticism, minimalism and jazz that Gramaphone notes.
As Fanfare says, the music has a winning melodic flow and harmonic translucency, stretches tonality to and beyond its limits, but always in a soaring, lyrical manner.
