William Wilde Releases New Album ‘Inhabited’

Posted on

Dance DJ and producer William Wilde has released his new album ‘Inhabited. The album has both a mellow, yet danceable beat which flows consistently throughout the course of the work. This album would be great on a lazy summers day but also wouldn’t sound out of place in a club after lockdown. What is so great about this album however, is how William brings a more complex and introspective take to the dance and techno genre, which can often get a bad reputation for just being something to dance to. But here, William has proved this stereotype wrong once again by creating a work of art whilst staying true to the essence of what makes house music so great in the first place. We just know you are going to love this album just as much as we do and we cant wait for you to hear!

You can enjoy Inhabited here:

William is a thirty year old French  DJ and composer and he has been living in Barcelona for 4 years. With no previous musical background, he started composing music in 2003, when he was just thirteen years old. He then later moved to the South of France where he discovered his passion for the piano and drums, which led to him taking piano lessons for four years.

Simultaneously, he was discovering and learning production through Ableton Live, He directly composed rhythms and melodies through it and made his first tracks around 2010, orientated heavily within lounge and deep house. William’s influences are quite diverse, from George Michael, Jamiroquai, MJ, to Diana Krall, Peter Cincotti, passing by Depeche Mode, Cassius, Daft Punk and Air. He then naturally allied DJing to music production because he wanted to share his tracks with his friends.

As a DJ, in 2010, William started to play for little private events, then playing in bars in Boulogne sur mer like « Monte Cristo » (now the QG), « L’entrepôt », He was resident in the « Lexus Bar » (now Almadie 224).
Later in 2012, he had the chance to play a set only composed of my productions in the « Resto Soleil » in Lille. William has also played in bars such as « Trading Bar », « la Mangrove », and some sets in le « Gotha Club ».

William is also a member of a cultural association based in Boulogne-sur-mer called « La Croisée », full of wonderful and curious people. In 2015, they have made events for music and painting, that brought 5000 people and a second edition that brought in around 1000 people.

In October of 2016, life brought William to Barcelona, where he still lives today. William was already interested and discovering genres like techno, tech-house, minimal, acid house but was influenced even more so by Barcelona’s events, DJ’s and producers. William has started to make compositions in those genres and recently and he has released an album based around those multi-cultural, human & love experiences in Barcelona.

This album is yet again a perfect example of the sheer talent and skill that this young DJ and producer has and we know this is only the beginning of his incredible journey.
