Drew Henmi Releases Jaw- Dropping Single, ‘Higher’

Stand-out talent Drew Henmi’s single, “Higher”, is a masterpiece. The stunning and complex guitar melodies coupled with Drew’s smooth and soulful vocals make for a refreshing composition that is easy to get lost in.

“Higher” is an uplifting and atmospheric song about reaching for your highest potential. The song features restrained male vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, dreamy instrumentation, and unique percussive elements. Drew Henmi’s most recent music is a great example of his sonic vision, marking a really unique step forward for this artist, whose sound is becoming increasingly more personal and defined, one release at a time. Drew Henmi is an artist with a passion for indie-folk, alternative, pop and more. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but now based in Honolulu, Hawaii‘, this charismatic singer and songwriter manages to combine stunning melodies with infectious grooves and beats to create a catchy, yet direct and personal sound, in the vein of songwriters such as Bon Iver, John Mayer or Dave Matthews. His sound is personal and authentic, and it’s hard to constrain it in the usual genre categories.

This climatic release is a must-have for any road trip playlist, and it is easy to see that Drew is an artist to watch in the indie scene. His style of music feels like a breath of fresh air in the genre and we’re excited to watch his journey to dominating the charts, but also feel lucky to be witnessing the origins.
